The fabric is handwoven in Kala cotton and naturally dyed, giving it a deep, earthy red tone. Kala cotton, indigenous to Kutch, grows in dry landscapes and requires very little water.

What makes this piece special is its simplicity.

Without motifs, the focus shifts — to the richness of the colour, the texture of the weave, and the precision of the pin tucks.
