There is something about two colours meeting on the same garment.

The Lira is a relaxed shirt dress made from two Ajrakh fabrics — one colour on each side, joined at the placket. Same cloth, same Beej block printed across both halves. But in different dyes, each version carries its own mood.

Beej is Fifth Origins' own block design — rooted in the idea of a seed. Something small, at the very beginning of itself, printed here across the fabric in quiet repetition.

The dyes are all natural. Black comes from rust iron, red from madder, blue from indigo. Each colour is built into the fabric through a slow, layered process — often up to 16 steps of printing, dyeing, washing, and drying. A craft that has lived in Kutch for over 400 years.

The result is a piece that feels considered and alive — where the two halves don't compete, but find their own balance.
